Taylor Walters ( Director) started her dance training here with Ann Sill and her staff at AMSDS and was elected AMSDS' Senior Feature Dancer in 2014. Taylor attended all 4 years of high school at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts as a dance major where she received some of the most well rounded and highest quality dance training from professional dancers, choreographers, and dance companies around the world. She has performed in various works by notable choreographers like José Limón, Pattie Obie, and Courtney Jones, as well as performed for East meets West at the Miller Outdoor Theatre. Taylor has been accepted into various summer dance programs over her years of dance, including Alvin Ailey, Perry Mansfield, Julliard, CalArts, and Cornish. In 2013 she attended an intensive at the Boston Conservatory School of Dance where she was featured in a pas de deux during their showcase. She received numberous dance scholarships including one to attend The Collective where she worked with choreographer Travis Wall and participated in a video shoot of his original work in Los Angeles, CA. She is trained in a large variety of styles including Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, and Ballroom Dance, however her love will always be Ballet. After high school, she took a slight break from her dance career to find her path, but quickly realized her passion will always be dance and returned to her home here at AMS Dance Studio to be our director.
